Dr. Caelin White
Clinical & Sports Performance Psychologist
Dr. White is a registered doctoral-level psychologist practicing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and brings dual expertise in both clinical and sport/performance psychology to his practice. Dr. White works individually with adult clients - both athletes and non-athletes - across a range of mental health concerns, from moderate difficulties to those that substantially affect day-to-day functioning. He was also a competitive endurance athlete, having completed numerous ultramarathons and ultra-endurance obstacle course races, which informs his firsthand understanding of mental resilience and high performance.
Approach to Treatment & Areas of Practice
Dr. White's approach to therapy is eclectic, systematic, and grounded in science. He draws on a range of evidence-based treatments - including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness training - selecting and tailoring interventions to best fit each client's unique needs. His practice is guided by four core principles: understanding, collaboration, respect, and ethical, science-informed care.
Dr. White's clinical areas of focus include anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma, for which he employs specialized treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Approximately half of his clients come from the broader community seeking support for mental health challenges, while the other half are athletes, high performers, and executives looking to address performance-related difficulties or build on existing strengths. Dr. White is available for in-person and remote sessions serving clients in both Manitoba and Alberta.
